"Crescendo! The Power of Music" shows how music changes lives, especially where lives are most in need of change. Three kids from the tough streets of West Philadelphia and Harlem: Raven, Zebadiah, and Mohamed struggle to find themselves through their musical instruments as they participate in EL SISTEMA, the phenomenal Venezuelan youth orchestra program for social change that is exploding into a global movement, while also producing legendary talents like conducting superstar Gustavo Dudamel. Heartbreak and joy come in big doses as we watch the young players and the community around them, everyone from their parents and teachers to Bobby McFerrin and Sir Simon Rattle, all experiencing the mysterious and irresistible power of music.
